Anania Jewellers commenced trading in 1965 as O & A Anania Pty Ltd.

At this time, Orfeo Anania, a classically trained Italian jeweller, recognised the growth and popularity of the beautiful Australian Opal. Convinced, Orfeo opened a studio in Sydney, specialising in this unique exquisite gemstone.

The company grew and began to attract both national and international clients, who were impressed by the exceptional jewellery designs and quality.

In time, Orfeo's eldest son Ken joined the company and quickly helped not only to promote Anania Jewellers already well established reputation, but also the growth of the Opal as the National Gemstone of Australia.
